As part of the initiative 10 Vienna Museums x 17 SDGs by ICOM Austria and OekoBusiness Vienna, the Secession pursues new measures for sustainability.
In view of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the board of the Secession invited the artist Nikita Kadan to design the banner above the entrance to the Secession.
Kadan’s work features a direct, outspokenly aggressive slogan—an outcry against the war with all its horrors and cruelties.
Visitors can experience the Beethoven Frieze with musical accompaniment.
Using headphones, they will hear the fourth movement of the Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125 recorded by the Wiener Symphoniker.
