iBeacons Secession   iBEACONS

In collaboration with KulturApp, the Secession expands its art education offerings: the new iBeacon technology allows visitors to take an interactive tour of the exhibition galleries and the art-nouveau building's exterior. Transmitters installed in all galleries enable them to receive audio files on their cell phones at no charge that provide background information on the Secession, the building's history, the Beethoven Frieze, and the artists' association. This content is continually updated with commentary on the exhibitions of contemporary art.
