As part of the exhibition Die Regierung. Paradiesische Handlungsräume
February 23, 2005, 7pm, Secession, Vienna

In July 1992, the artist Danica Dakić (born in Sarajevo, living in Düsseldorf) was performing as a singer on the "Dream Ship" MS Berlin. At the same time, her home city was being bombarded and was cut off from the rest of the world. On board, she met the pianist Marialena Fernandes (born in Bombay, living in Vienna). In January 2005, they meet again at the Secession in Vienna.

Between two women and two video projections, between song and piano, a swaying space borne along by dissonance emerges. In "MS Berlin", however, instead of implying disintegration , dissonance creates a possibility for being together in the world. That is the potential of non-relationality.
