INVITATION
to the PRESS CONFERENCE on Wednesday, January 17, 2001, 10.30 a.m.

Werner Würtinger, Heimo Zobernig and Florian Pumhösl will be present.
A special sound concept for this event was designed by Franz Pomassl.

The Secession will be mounting an artists' fête designed by Werner Würtinger and Heimo Zobernig on 25 January 2001. Franz Pomassl is responsible for the event's sound concept while Florian Pumhösl took on the graphic design of the print media. All magical expectations of coming events culminate in calendar dates. Fritz Lang's "Metropolis" or Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" (1932) and George Orwell's "1984" are the works of visionaries that unleashed a new form of visuality in their hidden images.

"2001" by Stanley Kubrick inscribed the date of its odyssey indelibly in the collective memory. The Secession follows up this rare opportunity to perceive utopia in terms of interfering realities within real time with the proposal of inviting its friends to a fête.

The bearers of the mask of civilized everyday dissembling are recommended a transformation suited to the theme.

Beverages will be provided by Kapsreiter
